Latest catches from Lac Serreire and Badgers Holt
26 October to 2 November
Just two anglers on Serreire this week who decided to fish the deeper water at Tim and Mary’s and Island swim. Between them they caught 20 carp including 2 x 50s to 54lb, 4 x 40s to 49lb and a 60 of 62lb.
Tough work for Jon and Warren on Badgers Holt with just 1 x 40 and a hook pull to show for their efforts.
Thanks gents and special congratulations to Wichert on your 62lb common.
19 to 26 October
Another superb week across the complex with 82 carp caught to 56lb. This included 7 x 50s and 26 x 40s plus Jim the cat at 80lb 8oz!!
We welcomed regulars Darren and group on Lac Serreire who caught 77 carp. Highlights were Shaun with 20 carp including 3 x 50s and 4 x 40s to 48lb 2oz. Plus newcomer Camo who ended his week with 39 carp including 3 x 50s and 12 x 40s to 49lb 12oz. Special mention to Stephen who realised his lifelong ambition of catching ‘Jim’ the cat at her best weight of 80lb 8oz. Top work!!!
Not sure which one of you chaps left your g-string in the shower block but I will wash it and have it ready for your next trip! 
Over on Badgers we welcomed Chris and Eric who unfortunately had to leave early on Wednesday due to a work emergency. They did however catch 5 before they left to upper 40s.

12 to 19 October
Horrendous weather again for our three anglers to contend with but between them they still managed 25 carp to 62lb 4oz.
Dan and Greg fished Badgers Holt and caught a respectable 7 carp. This included 1 x 60 of 62lb 4oz, 3 x 50s to 57lb 7oz with the balance of upper 40s. Lasting memory for Dan was unfortunately losing a huge mirror at the net on his final morning! Next time!!!
Over on Serreire we welcomed Anglers Charity Auction winner Mark who fished the whole lake as a single angler. It was always going to be difficult fishing a 20 acre lake on your own especially on your first fishing visit to France but he ended his week with a very respectable 18 carp. His haul included a PB of 52lb 7oz plus a couple of mid 40s.
5 to 12 October
Regulars Dan and Greg fishing week 1 of a two week trip on Badgers Holt ended their first week with 5 carp including a mirror of 60lb 5oz and 4 x 40s.
Over on Serreire we welcomed a VIP group for a few nights. They caught numerous carp to over 50lb.
Fingers crossed for some better weather in the weeks to come.
28 September to 5 October
Just three anglers on Serreire this week but they still managed 45 carp including 2 x 50s to 54lb 10oz and 12 x 40s to 49lb.
Top rod this week was Ian in Woods who caught 23, he told me that the action was so intense he had to reel in at night and use one rod at times during the day. He has now gone home with a bad back – get well soon Ian .
.Badgers continued to fish hard with just two carp caught to mid 40s for newcomers Rachel and Jason.

21 to 28 September
Another record breaking Serreire week!
Lac Serreire returned from its summer break on top form with our four anglers ending their week with 72 carp. This total included 7 x 50s to 57lb 10oz and 14 x 40s to 49lb 4oz. The house bait certainly did the business this week!
John in Middles caught 15 including a 50 of 57lb 10oz and 3 x 40s.
Luke in Island caught 19 with 2 x 50s and 4 x 40s.
Lee in Tim and Mary’s caught 15 with 2 x 50s to 57lb 7oz and 2 x 40s.
Ian in Woods ended as top rod with 23 carp including 2 x 50s and 5 x 40s.
Unfortunately the 100mm of rain over the week had the opposite effect on Badgers but David and Marcus still caught a respectable 4 carp including 2 x 40s.

14 to 21 September
Unfortunately a family emergency cut regulars Dave and Mitch’s trip short on Badgers Holt.
They did however manage to catch 9 carp to 53lb with 7 of them over 40!

7 to 14 SeptemberWe welcomed regulars Shaun and Stephen to Badgers Holt this week.
Unfortunately fishing was tricky at the start of week due to the 70mm of rainfall we experienced Friday and Saturday. However as the week progressed the fishing improved and Shaun and Stephen ended their week with 8 carp.
Their haul included 2 x 50s of 57.4 and 56 as well as 5 x 40s to 49lb.
No anglers on Serreire.

31 August to 7 September
Chris and Adam were our guests on Badgers Holt this week. Using a combination of the house boilie with Coppens pellet they ended their week with 8 carp to over 50lb.

Regular Mike was our first guest since the summer break on Badgers Holt.
He fished consistently throughout the week for 13 fish. His haul included 5 x 50s to 56lb and 6 x 40s.

Jon and Leanne were our final guests on Badgers Holt before the Summer break. They combined the fishing with days out exploring the local area and ended their week with four carp including a 55lb 8oz common.

Ed and Rusky were our guests this week on Badgers Holt. Despite the less than ideal conditions they managed four including 2 x upper 40s and a 55lb common.

A tricky couple of weeks on Badgers Holt with just three carp caught to high forties plus unfortunately a few losses. It was nice to see one of the rarer koi’s however.
No anglers on Badgers this week so the carp get a well earned rest.
22 to 29 June
Yet another fantastic week across the complex with 69 carp caught to 68lb 7oz.
Starting with Badgers Olly and Tom enjoyed a record breaking week with 18 carp including 8 x 40s, 3 x 50s and a 68lb 7oz leather.
We welcomed Mark and Friends to Serreire who managed a combined total of 51 carp to 57lb including 5 x 50s and 12 x 40s.
All fish caught using a combination of house boilie mixed with their boilie of choice over Coppens house pellet.

Another very rewarding week for our three anglers with a total of 47 carp.
Starting with Lac Serreire Kevin fishing on his own in Tim and Mary’s caught a staggering 42 carp in just 6 days. His impressive haul included 7 x 40s and 6 x 50s to 57lb.
Over on Badgers Holt Julia and Dan were our guests who caught 5 with a biggest of 55lb.
Congratulations to you all and special thanks to Kev for looking after the lakes and Molly the week before thereby allowing us to have a well needed holiday!

Rest Week.
1 to 8 June
Another fantastic week across the complex with 59 carp caught including 1 x 60, 10 x 50s and 18 x 40s.
Lee and Heath were our guests on Badgers Holt and they caught 8 with a best of 65lb 4oz together with 3 x 50s and 3 x 40s.
Over on Serreire Matt ended the week as top rod with 16 carp including 2 x 50s to 56lb 8oz and 5 x 40s.
Sean (and Georgia) fishing Tim and Mary’s broke his pb several times with 3 x 50s and a 40.
Colin in Island caught 10 with 2 x 50s and 3 x 40s and Dave in Shallows caught 14 with 6 x 40s.
All caught on the ever faithful house boilies.

Badgers delivers a dream week for Vernon and Ian!
Vernon and Ian enjoyed the trip of a lifetime on Badgers Holt with 6 carp including 3 x 70s (1 repeat), 1 x 60 and 2 x high 40s.
A heavy boilie approach using the house ‘krill and crayfish’ and ‘squid and cranberry’ was the winning combination.

18 to 25 May
Another fantastic week on the complex with 55 carp caught to 67lb 7oz.
Daz, Pete and Ben fished Lac Serreire and ended their week with 49 carp including 5 x 50s and 12 x 40s, the highlight undoubtedly being the new Lac Serreire record of 67lb 7oz!
In addition Pete smashed his PB several times with 4 x 50s to 54lb and Ben with numerous 40s to 49lb.
Over on Serreire Dan and Gregg caught 5 carp including a fantastic mirror of 64lb 10oz as well as 2 x 50s.

11 to 18 May
Despite early week spawning our anglers ended the week with a respectable 57 carp.
On Serreire we welcomed Lee, John and Andy who caught 53 carp including 7 x 50s to 55lb 6oz and 14 x 40s to 49lb.
Dan and Nick fished Badgers Holt and caught 4 including 2 x 50s to 55lb.
Dan now starts his second week.

4 to 11 May
This week we welcomed four anglers to Lac Serreire and Badgers Holt who beteeen them caught 41 carp to 71lb.
Pete enjoyed a fantastic week on Badgers Holt with 15 carp. His haul included 9 x 40s, 1 x 50 of 56lb and a superb mirror of 71lb. Pete fished differently to most on the lake not using a bait boat and feeding heavily with boilie only.
Over on Serreire Duanne, Ian and Mark enjoyed a good spread of carp with numerous 40s to 47lb 6oz.

27 April to 4 May
This week we welcomed angling royalty to Badgers Holt. Nigel Bothaway famed for Sky TVs ‘’Tight Lines‘ and more recently Fisherman’s Blues on Talksport fished for five nights and caught three carp including a 49lb mirror and 53lb common.
Over on Serreire Chris and group ended their week with 30 carp including 3 x 50s and 7 x 40s.
Top rod was Chris himself who fished Shallows for 12 carp including 1 x 50 and 3 x 40s.

20 to 27 April
Changeable weather with overnight frosts made the fishing tricky on Badgers Holt for regulars Kev and Matt. They still however managed three upper 40s.
Serreire fished better for ‘Team Baitroom’ with 46 carp. Their haul included 2 x50s to 54lb and 16 x 40s. Top rod was Robin in Middles who finished his week with 20 carp.
We have now installed a new weighing station at Badgers Holt so the carp never have to leave the water – thanks to Kev and Matt for your help.

13 to 20 April
Well the extreme weather certainly made the fishing much harder for our four anglers this week.
Stephen and Shaun fished Badgers Holt and caught two with a best of 44lb.
Matt and Kev fished Serreire and ended their week with 26 carp including 3 x 50s to 54lb 14oz and 9 x 40s to 48lb 12oz.
Kev and Matt now move to Badgers Holt for their second week.

6 to 13 April
A good week across the complex with 50 carp caught including;
2 x 60s, 6 x 50s, 12 x 40s and 19 x 30s.
Regular Dylan fished Badgers Holt and caught six including a brace of 60s to 64lb 7oz, a brace of 50s to 58lb 8oz and a brace of upper 40s! All caught on our new house boilie ‘krill and crayfish’.
Over on Serreire we welcomed Darren’s group who ended their week with 44 carp. Dave fishing the left hand side of Woods and again was ‘Top Rod’ with 15 carp including 3 x 50s to 55lb 8oz and 5 x 40s.

30 March to 6 April
Wow what a week!!
A total of 81 carp caught to just 3 anglers including 3 x 60s to 69lb 4oz, 6 x 50s to 57lb 12oz and 20 x 40s to 49lb 13oz!!!
Starting with Badgers Holt regular Thomas ended his second week with 10 carp which included 2 further 60s of 69lb 4oz and 60lb 7oz, 2 x 50s of 57lb 12oz and 50lb 4oz and 3 x 40s to 48lb 8oz. That brings Thomas’s total two week total to 20 carp which included 5 x 60s, 5 x 50s and 4 x 40s!!!! Congratulations on a fantastic effort.
Over to opening week on Serreire which again did not disappoint for regulars Russ and Brian who will go home for a rest after ending their week with a fantastic 71 carp!
Brian fished Middles at just 60 yards range and caught 21 carp including a PB of 61lb 5oz, 3 x 50s to 52lb 4oz and 7 x 40s to 49lb 13oz.
Russ defying his 71 years young set a new Serreire record with 50 carp caught to a single angler! Fishing from Woods swim at 80 yards his haul included a best of 54lb 8oz and 10 x 40s to 49lb 12oz.

23 to 30 March
Opening week on Badgers Holt did not disappoint with regular Thomas finishing his first week with 11 fish.
His impressive haul included 3 x 60s to 66lb 10oz, 3 x 50s to 56lb 7oz plus ‘Arthur’ the cat at 84lb.
Thomas now starts his second week with much trickier conditions.
